Item: Error running Side by Side on Windows 2003 server

Issue: Network Version only: I have successfully installed the Side by Side program on a Windows 2003 server and client computers, but the program doesn't run on the client computers. It goes into a continual loop (loading...) on the launch page. How do I resolve this issue?

Solution
Add ".cct" extension to MIME type using Windows 2003 Server IIS manager.

Configuring Windows 2003 Server IIS 6.0 to run Side by Side
Please follow these steps on the Windows 2003 Server:
  1. On Click Start -- Run -- type inetmgr
  2. Expand (Local Computer) -- Web Site -- Default Web Site
  3. Right click on Side by Side folder and click Properties
  4. Click on HTTP Headers tab and then click on MIME Types
  5. Click on New.
  6. For the Extension box, type .cct
  7. For the MIME box, type Sidebyside
  8. Click OK -- OK -- Apply and then OK.
  9. Click the Close button to exit the IIS Manager console.
  10. Launch the Side by Side program on the client computer. It should load fine.
Note: If you get a Shockwave error message on the client computer, please click here for the solution to this issue.
