The below steps apply to the single, lab workstation, Installable, or network versions of the following products:

Business Connections Interactive

Installation on server and/or workstation computers

Note: Only follow the below steps if you are using the latest version of the software (version 4).  If you have downloaded the software using the link(s) provided by technical support, you have the latest version 4 software.  Otherwise, click here to contact technical support to request the latest version.

Step A: Remove all versions of Java

  1. Go to Add/Remove Program and uninstall all versions of Java
  2. Restart your computer.

Step B: Install the CD-ROM software

  1. Install the CD-ROM software on your computer.
  2. Install the required version of Java 1.5 (click here to download).
  3. Run the software built-in updater (click here for instructions).
  4. Restart your computer.
  5. Test software to make sure it’s working with the default version of Java 1.5 installed.
  6. Move to "Step C" if you would like to install a newer version of Java.

Step C: Install a newer or latest version of Java (if needed) 

  1. Download and install your preferred version of Java or download the latest Java (click here).
  2. Restart your computer after the installation.

Step D: Troubleshoot Java issue

  1. Getting Java warning message, apply the software Java patch (click here).
