Please follow the below steps to use the recording tool successfully in the new Pegasus 5.x system.

  1. Make sure you have the updated version of java.  Go to to download and install the latest version of Java.
  2. After installing Java, run the Record Tool Setup Wizard. Click on the below image to run.

Note: If you are using Firefox, please make sure to allow Java once prompted. See article How to enable Java if it's been blocked

Experiencing other problems with the BlackBoard Voice Recording Wizard?

  • Note for Mac Users: The Chrome Browser for Macs is not compatible with the BlackBoard Voice Recording tool. To complete BlackBoard Voice Recording activities on a Mac, use either Firefox or Safari. This does not affect PC Chrome users.

  • For all other issues, view the Troubleshooting Guide.
