Instructions

Step 1: How to copy the contents onto the desktop

The aim of this step is to copy the disc contents onto the desktop of your Mac. If you have already installed/copied the software to your Mac, skip to Step 2.

  1. Insert the product disc into your Mac. If a video opens automatically, close it.
  2. Open the disc and then copy the “DATA” folder or drag the “DATA” folder to your Mac desktop. If you do not see a folder titled "DATA", copy all contents from the disc to a directory on your Mac.
  3. Eject the disc from your Mac.

Step 2: How to download and install patch

The aim of this step is to download and copy the patch files into the right locations in the DATA folder on the desktop

  1. Download the patch by clicking on Download Now link for the product you are using.
  2. Save the file to your computer.
  3. Unzip the file you downloaded.
  4. OPEN the DATA folder you copied to the desktop in Step 1.
  5. You now have the patch files which need to be copied into the DATA folder. Please DO NOT simply copy the folders across as this will erase files in the DATA folder that are not present in this patch. Instead, copy the individual files inside the folders and subfolders across to their designated location.

For example:

a)    Drag “START_OSX” icon and all files (not folders) to the root of the DATA folder

b)    OPEN the folder titled “swf” and drag the files to the “swf” folder

c)    OPEN the folder titled “minidict” and drag the files to the “minidict” folder

d)    OPENfscommand” > “itest” and drag the files (not sub-folders) to the same location in the DATA folder

e)    OPENassets”, drag the files from within the folders titled “sound”, “swfs” and “xml” folders to the same locations in the DATA folder.

f)    OPEN “tests” > “test1”, drag the files from within the folders titled “jpegs”, “sound” and “xml” folders to the same locations in the DATA folder

Step 3: Launch the product

The aim of this step is to launch the product from the desktop.

  1. Open the DATA folder on your desktop.
  2. Double click on the “START_OSX” file to launch the software.
